Cool.

Also weird.

A lot of "scifi" or "futuristic" tanks actually resemble tanks produced between WWI and WWII.  Post-WWI desginters hadn't figured out the most efficient layout so they were experimenting.  With their tall profile (which reduces the effectiveness of armor -- no matter the "style of combat") and narrow tracks (which impairs stability when moving across an incline or when rammed, again no matter the "style of combat"), these remind me of several design ideas that were eventually abandoned.

So if anything, this tank looks retro by almost 70 years.  All tanks today look very similar -- squat, flattened, and wide -- for very good reasons.  That's not to say you can't come up with reasons that such flaws would have to be tolerated -- moving through narrow city streets on perfectly flat terrain while targeting very tall opponents comes to mind.

Tanks that all look the same makes for very boring scifi art, after all!
